【自然】ようやく秋 Finally, It's Autumn.

日本では10月も終わりに近づき、11月が見え始めた頃になって、ようやく秋を感じ、もしかしたらこれから冬が来るのかも（笑）、と思わせるような気温になってきました。

私は関東地方に住んでいますが、ここは冬、晴れの日が多いのです。冬晴れ、という言葉があるように、寒い空気の中、真っ青な空が見える。とっても寒いけど、気分は晴れている、そういう季節が私は好きです。

どんなに異常気象だと感じても、それでも夏は終わるし、冬はやってきます。そう、時間は経つのですね。そして自分も世界も常に変化している。

今日、今週、この時間を大切にしていきたいですね。

Wednesday — Nature & the Seasons

Here in Japan, the end of October is finally — finally — starting to feel like autumn. With November just around the corner, the temperatures have begun to suggest that winter might actually be on its way. (About time.)

I live in the Kantō region, and winters here tend to be clear and sunny. There is even a word for it: fuyubare — winter clear skies. The air is cold, but above you is the deepest blue. It is freezing, and yet somehow your spirits lift. That is the season I love.

However strange the weather has been, summer does eventually end. Winter does eventually come. Time passes — it always does. And with it, we change, and the world changes around us.

Today, this week, this moment — I hope we can hold it a little more closely.
