先週私は忙しく過ごし、その挙げ句（あげく）、風邪（かぜ）をひいてしまいました。のどが痛くて、だるくて、何もできません。まだ少し咳（せき）と鼻水（はなみず）が出ます。このニュースレターも遅れてしまってすみません。
Last week, I was busy, and plus, got a flu. I have a sore throat, am feeling so dull, and cannot do anything. I'm still coughing a little and have a runny nose. Sorry for being late for this newsletter, etc..
昨日、11月7日は暦（こよみ）の上では立冬（りっとう）でした。冬の始まりです。実際、今週から急に冷え込んできて、寒い日が多くなりました（寒いと言っても18℃とかです）。急に気温が変わったので、風邪をひいたのかもしれません。
Yesterday, the 11th of November was "Rittou" according to our traditional calendar. It is the beginning of winter. In fact, it suddenly got cold this week, and we have more cold days now (well, when I say "cold", it's around 18 ℃ or so). Maybe I caught flu because the temperature suddenly changed.
秋の終わりの頃を、晩秋（ばんしゅう）とも言います。晩（ばん）は夕方、夜のことですが、晩秋は秋の終わりの頃、という意味ですね。そろそろ木々の葉も紅葉（こうよう）し始めるころでしょう。きれいな時期がやってきますね。
